Overview

This is the campaign website for Luke Kilpatrick, a private individual running for Sand City City Council in November 2026. This is not a government website. This policy explains what information this site collects and how it is used. I collect only what is needed to respond to your messages and comply with California campaign finance law.

Information Collected

Information You Provide

If you submit a contact or volunteer form, I collect only what you enter:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (volunteer form only, optional)
  • Message or volunteer interest areas

Note: Form submission is not yet operational. When activated, form data will be transmitted directly to the campaign and not stored by a third-party service without disclosure.

Automatically Collected Information

This website does not use:

  • Google Analytics or any other analytics service
  • Advertising or tracking pixels
  • Behavioral tracking cookies
  • Social media tracking widgets

Standard web server access logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) may be retained by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) in accordance with their Privacy Policy. These logs are not used by the campaign for profiling or marketing.

Cookies

This website does not set any first-party cookies. Cloudflare may set a security cookie (__cf_bm) for bot mitigation purposes. No marketing or tracking cookies are used.

How I Use Your Information

Information you submit is used only to:

  • Respond to your inquiry or volunteer interest
  • Coordinate campaign volunteer activities
  • Comply with California FPPC campaign finance reporting requirements, where applicable

I do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for commercial purposes.

Your Privacy Rights

The CCPA technically applies to large commercial businesses, not small campaign committees. However, I follow the same principles in good faith: I don't sell your data, you can ask me to delete anything you've submitted, and I won't treat you differently for asking. Use the contact form for any privacy requests.

Campaign Finance Disclosure

This website is paid for by Luke Kilpatrick for Sand City Council. Campaign contributions and expenditures are reported to the California Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) as required by the Political Reform Act. Public campaign finance records are available at fppc.ca.gov.

Data Security

This site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions, when activated, will use encrypted transport. I take reasonable care with anything you share, but no internet transmission is 100% secure.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as the campaign evolves. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
