Honored to be endorsed by Monterey/Santa Cruz Building and Construction Trades Council!

It is with great honor to be endorsed by the Monterey/Santa Cruz Building and Construction Trades Council in my run for Sand City Council. My father was in the trades and I spent most of my teenage years apprenticing with him learning how to install and maintain HVAC and other farming systems in Bradford, Ontario. Valuing the trades and making sure that the folks who are doing the hard work are fairly compensated for their efforts has been one of my beliefs from a very young age.

The Monterey/Santa Cruz Building and Construction Trades Council organized a great meeting on September 16th, 2024 at their hall in Castroville and I had the pleasure of meeting the folks there in person. Each candidate seeking their endorsement was given a few minutes to introduce themselves. After they were asked a few questions about how they support the trades and the trade unions’ goals of proper wages, safety and benefits for everyone who works to build our cities, counties and state. I would like to give a special shout out to Joe Thompson who did a great job organizing the day as well as getting a rapid turn around on the endorsements. I look forward to working with the Building and Construction Trades Council in the future.
